Resume Builder helps a small team prepare tailored resumes and keep track of job applications and interviews. This page explains what information the app uses, why, and how you control it.
Information you give us
- Your account email address and the profile and resume details you enter.
- Job postings you import, resumes you generate, and the applications and interviews you record.
Information from your Google Account
If you sign in with Google or connect a Google service, the app asks only for what that feature needs:
- Email address (userinfo.email): to sign you in and show which Google account is connected.
- Google Calendar, read only (calendar.events.readonly): to read events on your primary calendar from yesterday to 60 days ahead and suggest the ones that look like interviews. For those events the title, time, description, location, organiser and meeting link are kept in your waiting list until you confirm or dismiss them; other events are not stored. The app never creates, changes or deletes calendar events.
- Google Drive, app files only (drive.file): to save resumes you choose to upload into your own Drive. The app can see only files it created.
- Gmail, read only (gmail.readonly), optional and connected separately: to find a verification code a job site has just emailed you. Messages are searched in memory and discarded; no message, subject, sender or code is stored or logged. The app never sends, deletes or labels mail.
Google access tokens are stored encrypted and used only from our server. Resume Builder’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is not sold, not used for advertising, not used to train AI models, and not shared with anyone except as needed to provide these features or as required by law.
Who can see your data
Your data is visible to you. Administrators of the team that runs this workspace can see profiles’ applications and interviews to coordinate them. Data is hosted with our service providers (Supabase for the database and storage, Vercel for hosting).
Your choices
- Disconnect Google Calendar, Drive or Gmail at any time in Settings, or remove access at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Disconnecting deletes the stored token.
- Ask us to delete your account and its data using the contact below.
